Your arrival in Zermatt

By airplan

In less than an hour you can reach Zermatt from the international airports of Zurich, Geneva, Basel, Bern and Milan. Zermatt has its own heliport, which is managed by Air Zermatt. The airport Sion is also nearby. We are glad to help you to find the best rate for your taxi transfer between an airport and Zermatt.

By train

In our neighbor village Brig and Visp, you can take the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn, which will take you to Zermatt in just 1h30 via St. Niklaus. Zermatt is also the terminus of the legendary Glacier Express (St. Moritz / Davos-Zermatt). We recommend our guests, who come from abroad, the Swiss Pass. With the Swiss Pass you can travel by train, bus and boat throughout Switzerland or the transfer ticket, including round trip between the airport and your final destination.

By car

Zermatt is a car-free village. By car you can only drive to Täsch, which is 5 km away from Zermatt. To reach Täsch, take the motorway to Visp, then the Visp valley up to Täsch. Distances:

  • Genève – Täsch (Zermatt): 3h
  • Berne – Täsch (Zermatt): 2h30
  • Zurich – Täsch (Zermatt): 3h
