Ski & Snowboard

At an altitude of around 3883 metres, between Zermatt and Breuil-Cervinia, lies the highest ski area in Switzerland. Ski and snowboard enthusiasts from all over the world meet on 360 kilometres of blue, red, black and yellow pistes.

Modern lifts and cable cars, perfectly groomed slopes and fantastic downhill runs promise a unique skiing experience. The supporting programme also promises unforgettable gourmet experiences and legendary après-ski evenings.

Heliskiing at the Matterhorn

Heliskiing is a winter experience in a class of its own. In small groups, you can take a helicopter up to over 4’000 m up the mountain. The flight passes very close by the most beautiful mountain in the Swiss Alps, the Matterhorn.

Once you reach the summit, a snow-covered mountain kingdom lies at your feet. On untouched slopes you can now glide from the very top to the very bottom and make your tracks in the finest powder snow. Freeriding – for many the supreme discipline of the Alps, but certainly a feeling that you have to experience yourself to understand.

On the way with the sledge

The so-called sledging fun is a unique winter experience in Zermatt! The focus is on conviviality.

Enjoy a fondue, a Valaisan plate or another traditional Swiss dish in one of the many restaurants. Finally, take a speedy sleigh ride back to Zermatt. An experience for young and old!

Ice skating in Zermatt

In the middle of the village of Täsch, the natural ice rink between the impressive mountain scenery attracts young and old to go outside and can be used for relaxed skating or exciting hockey games.

The ice rink is open in good weather conditions and can be used publicly and free of charge. You can rent skates in the adjacent sports shop. Fun is guaranteed here!
